From Food Truck to Food Court!

Tin Pan Alley’s new Scotia Square location has a lot to offer. From their famous steak frites to spacious seating and beautiful view of Halifax, it is sure to appeal to all of your senses.

Tin Pan Alley’s Karl and Jill Warme met in Toronto and have worked together in the restaurant industry for almost 14 years. It wasn’t until 2013 that they began operating their food truck.

“The truck came about because we wanted to explore our entrepreneurial spirit. It was a sensible and fun way to test the waters before the restaurant.”

Having added three additional employees to the team, this is just the beginning of perusing their long term goal.

Choosing Scotia Square as the new location was a combination of it being good timing and a good fit, says Jill. One important factor was that the restaurant’s hours allow for flexible balance of work/family lives.

Tin Pan Alley’s menu includes their staple items, most of which are gluten-free and locally produced. They hand process all of their potatoes and are always looking for ways to expand their offerings. The idea of Taco Tuesday and Fish Friday specials has been talked about and with no hesitation Karl stated:

“We have such an amazing team so we are going to be able to do it.”

For the folks at Tin Pan Alley, it’s the excitement of the people that makes it worth it. So get excited and check out their new location at The MIX food court!
